°2 cups all-purpose flour
°2 cups white sugar
°1 teaspoon baking soda
°½ teaspoon of salt
°½ cup sour cream
°2 eggs
°1 cup butter
°1 cup of water
°5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
°6 tablespoons of milk
°5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
°½ cup of butter
°4 cups icing sugar
°1 teaspoon vanilla extract
°1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
*INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1
Preheat oven 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10x15 inch pan.
2nd step
Combine flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. Stir in sour cream and eggs. Put aside. Melt the butter over low heat in a saucepan, add the water and 5 tablespoons of cocoa. Bring the mixture to a boil then remove from the heat. Cool slightly, then stir cocoa mixture into egg mixture, mixing until well blended.
Step 3
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 4
For the glaze: In a large saucepan, combine the milk, 5 tablespoons of cocoa and 1/2 cup of butter. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat. Stir in icing sugar and vanilla, then stir in nuts, mixing until combined. Spread the frosting on the hot cake
